I think it's about time for an update... Let's see what we have been up too...
We had Christmas. Santa was so good to us again this year. The kids loved their toys and Dirk started to understand a little better that we celebrate the birth of Christ and not just presents.
Dirk celebrated his 4th birthday. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is in preschool and we just signed up for next fall again he is learning so much. It makes me so proud when out of no where he will start naming the months of the year or days of the week in a row. He also loves his ABC's and calls them out in everything that has writing on it. He can't wait to start playing more outside and riding his bike.
Landy also had birthday, she turned one. She is so big. She started walking the first part of April and is into everything. She loves to eat and never turns down anything. She is starting to talk more and more. She loves baby dolls and cars. I thinks she look a lot like Luke.
We are getting ready to start building another bedroom in our house (that is why I'm not posting a lot of picture they are all on the other computer that isn't set up yet). So hopefully soon Dirk and Landy will each have their own bedrooms. We also are planning on doing a lot of yard work if it ever gets nice outside.
Well I hope all is good with everyone out there. Hopefully will have a post with pictures soon.

I have finally found a minute to update my blog, YAY! We are having so much fun I find it hard to take the time to update the blog. Our little ones are growing so fast and learning so many things. Landy is sitting up, saying mama and dadda, she has started scooting and adores Dirk. She loves sitting on the floor and playing with him (he's playing with his toys, but I thinks she thinks he's playing with her). She loves to eat and we can't eat anything in front of her without her having a big fit. She has been teething so she a little fussy lately but nothing to bad. She has got 3 teeth on the bottom and one eye tooth and a front tooth that finally broke yesterday. I think she is looks a lot like her dad.
Dirk is in preschool and loves it!! He asks everyday when he wakes up if it a preschool day or a stay at home day. He is learning so much and has made lots of new friends. He loves letters and the sound they make. He sounds out everything you say and asks how to spell it. He will put random letters together and ask what did I spell. He loves coloring and painting. I have been trying to write down all the funny things he says because I know I will forget them. When we had the Blizzard a few weeks ago, he waited all day and kept looking out the window. I thought he was excited for the snow and when it finally hit us he asked "Where is the big lizard, I don't see it?" I laughed to hard. He is really excited for Christmas and he told Luke last week that he works to much and need to tell his boss he had to say home and put Christmas lights on the house. Then a few nights ago he told Luke that Santa wouldn't be able to find our house without the lights and we need to put them up. So we finally got the lights on the house last night.

Landy's First Tooth
Earlier this month I took Landy in for her 4 month check up and she is growing too fast!! She is in the 75% for her weight and 95% for her height. Our doctor looked at her when he first came in and said WOW that's a big boy he's really solid. I laughed and told him she's a girl. He felt so bad. I really thought since she was born early she would be a small baby but, she isn't having any problem catching up. The doctor said she had a very strong neck and she could see perfect. She did really well with her shots.
Then sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning her first tooth broke. I didn't really even know she was cutting teeth until a few days before. She has been a really happy baby and sleeping good at night. She has been a little cranky here and there but nothing that bad. I really hope the rest of her teeth are that easy.

I decide to finish up some sewing projects I had laying around during nap time today. I had to share a few of them...
This is a dress I made for my cute little niece.
This is Dirk's new little toy. I was in a hurry to finish it and will have to go back and fix it later. No it's not a purse, it's a man bag...
That folds out to this. You can't really see in the picture but it has a pocket with a zipper to put a few of his cars. I'm gonna have to still fix the road but it will do for now. I think it looks good for no pattern.
I had to take a picture of these cute little toes. I just love these little feet.
We are going on vacation soon and little lady needed a little hat to keep the sun off her head. I found this pattern a long time ago and was scared to try it. It's old t-shirt that I cut up. It looks better in real life then in this picture I'm thinking of making another one.
for some reason everytime I post everything gets all smooshed so hopefully you can understande this post.

Warning really long post...
Here is a little of what we have been up to the last month...
Luke celebrated his 29th birthday on June 11. We also had our 6 year wedding anniversary in June 17. He has been busy around the house with our summer projects like painting the outside of the house, getting new windows and cutting down trees. He has also been on call with his work (so he had a lot of late nights) and some overtime.
I have been busy with the kiddos. Doing a few small crafts here and there. Spending a little time with my little sister since she moved back home.
Dirk has been a busy body and sneaks outside whenever he gets the chance to (thank heavens for the child proof locks on the doors). We signed him up for pre-school and he will start in September. He got to go meet his teacher and he had a blast at her house. He is a huge helper with his sister. He still can't stop kissing her and I think it drivers her crazy a little. He has got to go to the Air Plane Museum at HAFB. We have taken him over to play at the splash pad.
Landy is growing like crazy!! She is sleeping wonderful most nights. She goes to sleep around 11 or 12 and gets up to eat around 6 and goes back to sleep until Dirk wakes up. I wish she would go to bed a little earlier but at least she is sleeping 6 hours. She has started rolling over. She has started to love playing with toys and is still trying to figure out how her hands work. She talks a lot and giggles. She's really a happy baby almost all the time. She is a little clingy to me which is a little hard at times. I'm hoping that will get a little easier.
We have had a very busy summer so far full of lots of fun activities. It has really made me appreciate the little moments at home when I can just sit back and enjoy my family. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who helps with everything. He would do anything for us and I'm so grateful for that. I am so blessed to have my two sweet little babies. I really feel so lucky to get to stay home with them. They have the sweetest little spirits and they are teaching me so much more then I could ever learn anywhere else. So if you read all of this here are just a few picture of all the fun we have been having.
Here is our house before ...
Here after with the new paint and windows. We are still working on it we want to get shutters and plant a flower bed.
